It was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and explore avenues for cooperation and synergies on the PPRD Med project (Prevention, Preparedness, Response to natural & man-made Disasters in the Southern Neighbourhood countries) funded by the European Commission and coordinated by ISTC.The ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence's expertise in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Earth Observation (EO) capabilities is truly commendable. Their cutting-edge technologies and research will significantly benefit the EMMENA region (Europe, Middle East, and North Africa) in the context of disaster prevention, preparedness, and response. (Cf. AI-OBSERVER project)We would also like to express our appreciation for the support we have received from the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).
